Port Blair, May 17: Heavy rainfall (7-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands on May 20 & 21. Squally weather with gusty surface wind 40-50 kmph is very likely along and off Andaman & Nicobar Islands from 20th May 2024. Sea conditions are very likely rough to very rough. Fishermen have been advised not to venture in to the sea.

The general public and the Government Departments have been informed that the power supply will remain suspended at Outer Feeder: Sippighat, Teylerabad, Bimblitan, Guptapara, Manjeri, Manglutan, Wandoor, Humphrygunj and Dhanikhari on May 18 from 7 am to 1 pm, in connection with the line clearance and maintenance of T&D system in Outer Feeder.

Campbell Bay, May 16: In continuation of the firm stance of Zero Tolerance against the Drug Menace, Campbell Bay police has achieved a significant breakthrough in their ongoing efforts to curb narcotics trafficking.

In a meticulously planned jungle search operation in the Babu Line & RPRS area, the Campbell Bay police, led by Sub-Inspector Roshan George, SHO Campbell Bay, uncovered a substantial amount of unclaimed Narcotic Drugs. The dedicated task force, comprising Sub-Inspector Siva Kumar, Head Constable Meiyappan, and Police Constables Bikash Sen, Anup, and Shahir, conducted a thorough search operation aimed at detecting illicit activities in the area.
